Taylor Swift's Album Sells Reach 10 Million Mark
Taylor Swift’s album sells worldwide have hit the 10 million mark. The number includes the U.S. and international sales of Taylor Swift and Fearless, as well as the limited releases of Beautiful Eyes, and The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection.
Calling Taylor successful appears to be somewhat of an understatement. Her albums have reached gold and platinum status in 14 nations. Her self-titled debut album is now certified quadruple-platinum, and her second album, Fearless, has sold over 4 million copies in the U.S. Also, she’s had over 20 million paid song downloads.
As a writer, I respect her song writing ability, she writes all of her own material. The New York Times described Taylor as “one of pop’s finest songwriters, country’s foremost pragmatist, and more in touch with her inner life than most adults.”
And yes, I’ve had many conversations on whether the 19 year-old is worthy of sharing the stage with Def Leppard- and have always maintained an unwavering “yes”. Maybe she’s no Martina when it comes to her vocal ability but her dedication, passion and humility is awfully admirable. I personally look forward to seeing what Taylor Swift has in store for us.
