Daft Punk Featured in DJ Hero Game
Once upon a time there was a game called Guitar Hero. People across the land rejoiced at the chance to be toy-guitar-playing rock stars. Then came Rock Band. And once again, the people rejoiced. Next up is . . . DJ Hero. For some reason scoring points as a pretend DJ just doesn't seem as fun as rocking out on a baby drum set, but it very well could be. Especially because the game will allos players to pretend they are a robotic mix-making member of Daft Punk.
DJ Hero will feature sets, beats and costumes from the latest Daft Punk concert series. This duo is a favorite of electronic lovers and is known for its futuristic performances. They have also created 11 mixes of their tracks — combined with music from No Doubt and Queen, to name a few — for the game. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter, the pair that make up Daft Punk, have been very involved in the creation of their DJ Hero alter egos, set and music (Hopefully these avatars will go over better than Curt Kobain's Guitar Hero character).
Hip hop superstars Jay-Z and Kanye West have also given the new game the thumbs up. The game is due out October 27th.
