Zooey Deschanel & Ben Gibbard Wed

 

Zooey Deschanel wed Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard last weekend in Seattle.  Hearts are breaking across the land.

Gibbard, 33, and Deschanel, 29, are a match made in indie heaven. Death Cab has attracted hordes of fans with its lovelorn music since its inception in 1998. In 2008, Deschanel teamed up with singer/songwriter M. Ward to create the charming folky harmonies of She & Him on the album Volume 1.  She's an actress by day, having appeared in such films as "Elf," "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" and most recently "500 Days of Summer."



Hopefully these two can avoid the typical Hollywood pitfalls to remain in marital bliss (and maybe make some music together).
