One, and a two and a three and to the four Snoop Doggy Dog is appointed chairman of the board, well, not exactly. Priority Records, which is owned by label EMI, has just announced that Snoop Dogg has been appointed as its Creative Chairman.
Most people may not know exactly what a ‘Creative Chairman’ does for a record label, and Priorityrecords.com explained this on their official website saying, “Snoop will relaunch the legacy of Priority and will drive efforts to maximize untapped digital and branding opportunities at the label.”
Also on the site, Snoop expressed his enthusiasm and excitement for his new position:
“Starting fresh with EMI is a great feeling. It’s a new partnership, a new Priority Records, and a new Snoop Dogg: the Creative Chairman … The Boss Dogg, the Dogg Father.”
He went on to discuss his plans for the future of EMI’s Priority Records as well as plugging his newest album Malice N Wonderland:
“The business model we’ve developed will bring the musical heritage of groups like N.W.A. to the forefront. And you definitely got to get ready for my new album Malice N Wonderland in December to kick it all off—This is going to be the most potent dose of Snoop Dogg yet!”
Yikes! I wonder just how POTENT this dosage of Snoop Dogg will be? Clouds of green smoke keep coming to mind. Beware of the contact high!
