From October 28 to November 21, the Whigs will be touring with two bands, The Features ( a psychedelic, new wave band who will make their way to Athens , opening for another Classic City band, Modern Skirts) and The Dead Trees (an americana , folk rock band from Portland , Oregon ).
The Whigs should bring their A-game to their upcoming tour, they have had plenty of practice after traveling across the country and building a stronger fan base (not to mention performing on David Letterman).
After playing a surprise show in Athens , showcasing 11 new tracks, in May of this year, it can be assumed that the upcoming tour will be full of new material. A specific date for The Whigs’ new album has not yet been announced, but it is expected to drop sometime in late 2009 to early 2010.
