Every Wednesday night is trivia night at Athens' 283 Bar. Trivia night seems innocent enough -- just a few groups of friends throwing back some beers and scratching their heads to come up with that answer that's right on the tip of their tongue. But it's about to get real, because on October 7 the Trivia War begins.
Next Wednesday marks the start of the month-long general knowledge trivia competition. The factoid buffs who prove themselves most full of useless/semi-useless knowledge will win the following: $120 for a custom tattoo by Dustin Hill at Walk the Line Tattoo and gifts certificates to Ike and Jane's bakery and Dynamite Vintage Clothing.
Teams earn points that carry over week to week. Five points are awarded to every team participating, second place earns 10 points and first place gets 15 points. Bring your game faces if you want to win the spoils of this war.
283 Bar is located at 283 Broad St. in downtown Athens.
