Rock Band Makes "Being A Square" Cool
The negativity associated with “being a square” is about to be thrown out the window for good. The world of musical video games has done it again. As if Rock Band wasn’t already fun enough, they have combined it with the childhood toy of stackable, square-headed men…the LEGO. It just so happens that Rolling Stone features Blur, a throw back to 90’s British pop stars, as one of the artists gracing the track list of, if you haven’t already guessed, LEGO Rock Band. Ha, fancy that.
With the emergence of Rock Band 3, Guitar Hero 5, Band Hero and improved gaming systems, realistic, human-like avatars are a thing of the past. The upcoming year, 2010, needs something trendier and “out there” — and what more embodies those two words than LEGOs? That’s right, pretty much anything besides LEGOs. It might be difficult to handle sticks or play mad guitar solos with no fingers. But that’s beside the point; this game is going to be revolutionary — or not. Check out the karaoke-worthy track list after the jump.
