Happy Birthday, John & Sean Lennon

 

October 9 is a big day in the Lennon family.  It's the birthday of both John Lennon, who would be 69 years old, and his son Sean, who turns 34 today.

Not only does Sean share his late father's birthday, but he's gone into the family business. The product of musician parents (his mom is the controversial and widely hated Yoko Ono), Sean released his debut album, Into the Sun, in 1998.  His music has been described as experimental pop.  Sean's latest release is 2006's Friendly Fire.





Sean has also collaborated with his mother on several tracks, and even recently joined Ono's band, .  The 76-year-old is still pumping out her avant garde dance pop, and gaining a bigger following than ever before.
