The Decemberists preview animated visualizer
The Decemberists' latest epic storytelling album, this year's Hazards of Love, now has its own hour-long animated accompaniment. "Here Come the Waves: The Hazards of Love Visualized," features the work of four filmmakers (Guilherme Marcondes, Santa Maria, Julia Pott and Peter Sluszka) that combines to create a colorful psychedelic mash up of blossoming plants, dancing cartoon animals and much more.
This short trailer was just released:
Pretty cool, huh?
The band will perform Hazards of Love live during a simultaneous screening of the film at UCLA's Royce Hall on October 19. For all of us who don't live in L.A. -- or anywhere remotely near the West Coast -- the film will be available in December (according to the trailer). Stay tuned for more news on a release date for "Here Come the Waves" and more Decemberists news.
