Drive By Truckers Get iPhone App
Athens own Drive By Truckers are going digital and have released their very own iPhone application.
Fans who subscribe to this app, which is only .99 cents, will gain access to the Truckers’ news, tour dates, videos, pictures and even puzzles.
But be wary of letting little Johnny or Susie purchase this app, on iTunes the page warns that there are infrequent/mild alcohol, drug or tobacco references, horror/fear themes, mature/suggestive themes and profanity or crude humor, so it is recommended for children 12 and up.
I’m new to this whole iPod app thing, but for some reason I found the ratings amusing. What kind of “horror/fear themes” are DBT getting into? I guess for .99 cents you can find out.
The DBT iPhone app was released on iTunes on August 31.
On other DBT news, guitarist/vocalist Patterson Hood will be at the Caledonia Lounge in Athens on November 4, 11 and 18 to support his solo album, Murdering Oscar.
