Wanna be a Beatle?

So you didn't exactly get the talent for making music, but you love to belt out songs in your car and you play the meanest air guitar that ever was.  

Enter Rock Band. And just like that, you too can be a rock star. And now, Harmonix, the geniuses behind the game, are bringing you The Beatles: Rock Band which comes with Beatles songs from Please Please Me all the way to Let It Be.  It comes out September 9 (the same day the group’s entire discography will be released).

But the coolest part about the game is that a limited edition package will be available for pre-order (it costs $249.99) that will feature Rock Band instruments modeled after the legendary Liverpool boys’ own instruments. Included will be a replica of Paul’s Höfner bass and a Ludwig drum kit that will feature a pearl finish and and a Beatles kick drum head. The company isn’t releasing any information about the guitars they will issue with the game, but I can only imagine that they will be oh-so awesome.

Of course, if you can’t afford all the toys, or if you would rather put the money toward real instruments, the old Rock Band instruments will be compatible with the new game.
