Jam band heavy-weights join forces for Fall tour

A match made in jam band heaven: Athens favorite Widespread Panic and the The Allman Bros. team up for a 17-date tour starting in the fall of 2009.  The tour will kick off in Camden, NJ, on August 21 and will go through the Northeast before wrapping up inHouston, Texas, on October 21.  The bands will be co-headliners, meaning they will share opening and closing duties as well as some likely stage-sharing.  Unfortunately, the closest date to Athens is the October 4 show in Charlotte, NC.  But when has distance ever stopped any WSP and Allman fans? Get ready for a trip…
