Another follow up story, this time, with musicals. Apparently, Spider-Man: Turn off the Dark, a musical set to debut in January 2010, is hosting casting calls and auditions in the coming month. The musical showcases the music and lyrics of U2's Bono and The Edge and will be directed by Across the Universe's Julie Taymor. Taymor is keeping an eye out for great rockers for these roles, like Peter Parker, Mary Jane and an unnamed female villian. So, if your feeling crazy and want to test your luck, head down to Orlando on Thursday April 9 for the first of six casting calls. As for me, I don't know, call me old-fashioned but musicals to me are like "My Fair Lady" and "Chicago," not Green Day and U2. But, I guess The Who's "Tommy" was a success, so who knows?
