Kudos from the Blur staff to cartoonist Bill Richards, who was honored in the "UWire 100" today. UWire is self-described as "a community-driven service devoted to the needs of student journalists" with an "aim to identify and promote the brightest young content creators and deliver their work to a larger audience," and their "100" list identifies those college journalists who exemplify the very best in their respective fields.
Says JoAnn Anderson, news editor of The Red & Black (Bill's paper), "Bill is on the pulse of local and national politics; he can succinctly express in his cartoons what editorial writers have trouble saying in 500 words."
Though Bill wasn't recognized for this specific cartoon, you may remember his work from our January piece "When Presidents Rock Out."
