New Roots album coming your way

Correction: Today (June 11) it was announced-via ?uestlove's Twitter- that the album has been pushed back to October and it will be "worth the wait." Better late than never!

Their eighth studio album, which the Roots are currently working on, is titled How I Got Over, the follow up to last year’s Rising Down. They haven't set an official date and the first single, “I Walk Alone,” has not been released yet. However, the band shot the accompanying video for it this week in New York, so it can't be too far off. Fans were worried that the Roots’ gig serving as house band for Jimmy Fallon’s “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon” show would slow up any new material, but now they can rest easy and gear up for new Roots this summer.
