Murderers Need Tunes, Too!

Photobucket

Phil Spector, the music producer who has been sentenced to 19-years-to-life in prison for murdering actress Lana Clarkson, has demanded that he be given an ipod for his stay behind bars.

Spector has been transferred to the largest state prison in California and inmates are allowed to ask for certain personal effects for their time spent in the big house.

Rachelle Spector, Phil’s wife, told the Associated Press, “He wants a TV and an iPod or something like that for listening to music.”

Officials from the prison have also stated that some prison mates request and receive musical instruments and sometimes play in groups together. When asked whether or not Spector will be asking for something to jam on while in the slammer, Mrs. Spector replied that she doubts her husband will be asking for an instrument any time soon.

For the time being, it looks like Mr. Spector will have to be satisfied with the aged old cup against the cell bars blues. He should have a lot to wail about.
