Kiss kickin' back

Photobucket

Eleven years and not an ounce less of makeup later, Kiss is finally coming out with a new LP. Guitarist Paul Stanley wrote on the band’s website that Kiss is “about four days from finishing the new Kiss album. Eleven tracks, and it IS everything I’ve told you. It IS classic. It IS all written within the band. And IT ROCKS BIG TIME!” It will be Kiss’s first new LP since Psycho Circus, which was released in 1998. Stanley also says on the website that both Tommy Thayer (guitarist) and Eric Singer (drums) will handle lead vocals for the new LP. A release date has not been set, but when the LP is released, it will be a Walmart exclusive, according to Gene Simmons who revealed the promotion to Denise Richards. Apparently Walmart will dedicate a corner of their stores to the band, calling it the “Kiss Korner.” Simmons told Rock Daily “there’s nothing to prove to anybody. We’re not interested in musical trends or anything else. We’re too long in the tooth for that.” And the music isn’t the only thing Kiss fans can get excited about according to Stanley, who wrote on Kiss’ website, “Oh… and WAIT till you see the cover!”
