• The Beastie Boys’ new album, The Hot Sauce Committee Pt. 1, will feature Nas and Santigold, but the real surprise is a visit from Bob Dylan. They sampled a bit of Dylan’s “Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues” for a track called “Finger Lickin’ Good.”
• MGMT and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ Karen O will guest on the upcoming Flaming Lips’ double album Embryonic. “I just called [Karen O] up in her hotel room and we just did it right over the phone,” Wayne Coyne said in an interview gave to a Swiss website.
• This may not technically count as an appearance, but Mariah Carey dresses up like Eminem in her new video called “Obsessed,” and not that anyone really watches videos anymore, but it’s way creepy (see the pictures here: http://www.mtv.com/photos/mariah-carey-gets-masculine-for-obsessed-video/1614978/4012124/photo.jhtml).
