Pearl Jam bassist attacked and robbed in Atlanta

Photobucket

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament was robbed and assaulted outside of a recording studio on April 27 in Atlanta, Ga., according to a Dekalb County Police report obtained by the Atlanta-Journal Consitution.

When Ament and another man pulled up to Southern Tracks, the studio where the band is recording their ninth studio album, three assailants wearing black masks and brandishing knives came out of the woods and jumped him.

Ament attempted to run away but was knocked to the ground (sustaining cut on his head that didn’t require hospitalization). The attackers smashed the windows of a rented Jeep and robbed Ament of $3,000, his passport and $4,320 worth of goods.

The robbers drove away in a black Nissan Maxima. A surveillance camera captured the incident, but no arrests have been made.
