Managers for Radiohead Advised a Split Once Upon a Time

Photobucket

Before In Rainbows was produced, Radiohead’s management advised that the band should split up! I can’t even imagine a world without Radiohead. The man who could have changed the world for the worst by his terrible opinion was Brain Message, a man from Radiohead’s management company named Courtyard Management.

The Irish Times quoted Message:
'I've been lucky to work with some great artists and Radiohead are a once in a generation act,' says Message. 'But you have to be honest if it's not working. You have to have passion about what you do. I'm an accountant but I love music and I'm passionate about the artists I work with.'"

Apparently the management company didn’t think that Radiohead was going anywhere because two years after leaving EMI, the band made no progress in creating an album. Radiohead made songs but the sound wasn’t right when they recorded in the studio.

Radiohead, I appreciate that you did not listen to the people with all of the power. You rock.
