Hip-Hop Lawyer Charged with Murder

Photobucket

Paul Bergin, a New Jersey lawyer who defends hip-hop artists such as Queen Latifa and Lil Kim, was charged with murder and conspiracy to murder two days ago. He allegedly murdered a witness and was in the process of hiring a hit man to have another witness killed.

Instead of keeping drug dealers and murders off of the streets, he allowed them to stay longer. He believed, “No witness, no case.”

I want to know who allowed this man to practice law and who was supposed to be watching over his actions. It took a murder, drug trafficking, money tampering and more until Bergin received attention from the police. It appears almost as if he was pushing his limits to see how much he could get away with before landing himself in prison.

According to the New York Daily News, the acting New Jersey U.S. attorney, Marra, said of Bergin, "A licensed lawyer, a former prosecutor, essentially became one of the criminals he represents."
