Pete Doherty was fined for heroin consumption by Geneva, Switzerland Police during a flight from London last Friday. The British rocker was picked up by officers after the British Airways flight landed and was held for two hours. Doherty paid the fine and was then released. Officials are being a little hush hush on the details, though. They declined to confirm a newspaper's report that Doherty was found by an air hostess collapsed in a toilet, with a used syringe beside him. This isn't Doherty's first run-in with the cops. The lead singer of Babyshambles has had several publicized battles with drug use. Last year, he served 29 days in a London prison after being caught with heroin, crack cocaine, ketamine and cannabis while he was on probation. Doherty's trip to Switzerland was arranged so that he could present his debut solo album at a festival in the city of Neuchatel. I know he will always be Kate Moss's boy but wouldn't Pete and Amy Winehouse be SO cute together?
