Donations for Georgia Theatre
The fire that that gutted Athens' historical Georgia Theatre on Friday morning was extremely upsetting, but now, the venue which has given the Classic City music and entertainment for over 20 years needs YOUR help! The Theatre will be selling 100% Cotton Gildan Ultra T-shirts at tonight's Perpetual Groove show at The Classic Center as well as online at http://www.oldguardgraphics.com/fulfillment.html. All proceeds will go towards the many employees who, at present, are out of a job, and to helping repair the major damages caused by the fire. The shirts are $20 and feature a large photo of Georgia Theatre on the back commemorating its reign from 1989 to 2009.
According to Georgia Theatre's official website, online donations will be available soon and any one interested in donating memoriabilia (i.e. pictures, thoughts, etc.) can mail them to:
