'Dreams' Come True When You Got A Little Blues

Whether or not Conan O’Brien as host of the Tonight Show is a hit or failure is yet to be determined but what can be said about the long-running series is that O’Brien is back with a hearty punch of celebrities and musical guests. We have already blogged about the show’s first episode of the season featuring the musical stylings of Pearl Jam, but the best performance of the week came from a little band known as the John Mayer Trio who performed on Thursday, June 4.. The blues triplet rocked Los Angeles with an upbeat take on the Mama’s and the Papa’s classic hit “California Dreamin’” which included a children’s choir to take over the backing vocals. It always amazes me how Mayer can absolutely bring the house down with his soulful guitar solos, but don’t let me convince you, watch this video and let the music explain itself.
