"Heeeeeeeeeeeeere's Johnny!"
Famous as the sidekick to Johnny Carson on “The Tonight Show” from 1962 to 1992, Ed McMahon will never again say his famous catchphrase after passing away from cancer and other health complications today. During his accomplished life, McMahon was a colonel in the Marines during the 40’s and 50’s serving as a fighter pilot. Later in life he was the host of the talent show "Star Search" from the early 80’s until mid 90’s, worked with Budweiser multiple times by appearing in commercials and was the presenter of American Family Publishers sweepstakes, arriving at the homes of the winners unannounced. Entertainment Weekly has suggested McMahon was one of the “greatest sidekicks” based on his roles in "The Incident," "Fun with Dick and Jane," "Full Moon High," "Butterfly" and "Bewitched."
