Now! That's What I Call Shocking

Photobucket

Now! That’s What I Call Music 31 has been the number 1 album on the Billboard charts for the past week. Let me reiterate---Now! 31 is the album 169,000 people purchased since last Tuesday.

The CD includes music from artists such as Pink, Soulja Boy and Kelly Clarkson. The popularity of this long running compilation seems to never falter, which makes one think of what Now! That’s What I Call Music 85 will be like, or volume 150.

There’s no telling what the radio hits of 2030 will be, but maybe Sony will come out with a new series entitled, Now! That’s What I Call Electronic. Here’s a tentative track wish list (feel free to let us know what your perfect Now! Compilation would contain):

  1. Passion Pit – Swimming in the Flood
  2. MGMT – Electric Feel
  3. Chairlift – Planet Health
  4. Of Montreal – Gallery Piece
  5. The Postal Service – Nothing Better
  6. Radiohead – Nude
  7. Venice is Sinking – Wetlands Dancehall
  8. We Are Scientists – Lethal Enforcer
  9. M83 – Kim & Jessie
  10. TV on the Radio – Shout Me Out
  11. LCD Soundsystem – Someone Great
  12. Cut Copy – Far Away
  13. MSTRKRFT – Easy Love
  14. Hot Chip – Ready for the Floor
  15. Crystal Castles – Vanished

So, there it is. In a perfect world, compilations would be eclectic and electric, and they would be shocking you with their electric feel. Don’t you agree?
