The Decemberists Extend 'Hazards' Tour

The Decemberists released one of their most adventurous albums to date this year entitled, The Hazards of Love and in support of the concept album the band has decided to resume touring on through November, where they will end their run in London.

Excluding the Newport Folk Festival, The Decemberists will perform Hazards in its entirety at every stop along their tour. Shara Worden from My Brightest Diamond and Becky Stark from Lavender Diamond who are featured on the new album will be accompanying the group as well.

Opening acts for the second leg of their 2009 tour include The Heartless Bastards (who recently opened for Jenny Lewis at the 40 Watt Club) and Blind Pilot. Unfortunately, there are no stops scheduled for Georgia (They go from Asheville, N.C. to Nashville, Tenn. to St. Augustine, Fla., grr . . .), but if you can make it to one of the surrounding shows you should be in for a treat.
