Next Big Nashville now taking submissions for 2009

Photobucket

The Next Big Nashville Festival & Conference is now accepting artists submissions for the 2009 festival. The festival and conference will be October 7-11 and will feature over 200 performers (and for those of you feeling a bit below the curve at the moment, it's in Nashville). Since its debut year in 2006, the festival has grown quickly and is now nationally recognized and has drawn as many as 15,000 people in 2008. The acts range from unsigned singer/songwriters to well-known artists signed to major labels. Paste magazine said about the festival, "The Next Big Nashvlle organizers - with all club shows and a stellar lineup of conference panels - are onto something here." We'd love to see some local Athens bands head over there and show them how Athens does music. Submissions are being accepted at nextbignashville.net until July 13th.
