Bouncing Back From Black

Photobucket

They tried to make her go to rehab, and now, the man who supposedly sparked all of Amy Winehouse’s drug and alcohol problems (according to Winehouse’s father) is officially out of the pop singer’s life.

Today, July 16, Winehouse and Blake Fielder-Civil were granted a divorce by London’s High Court by Judge Michael Segal. The two were not present at the proceedings that lasted only a few minutes, but Winehouse, who owns a fortune of an estimated $15 million, paid off Fielder-Civil with $3.6 million.

Fielder-Civil’s solicitor explained that in January of this year he had been, “instructed to commence divorce proceedings on the grounds of Amy's adultery."

There were no further comments on the subject of infidelity, but as for Fielder-Civil’s many run-ins with the law, last July he was sentenced to 27 months in jail for assaulting a pub landlord in east London in 2006.

That’s right Amy, throw that guy some change, hit the road and never look back to black. And by the way, where is that follow-up album? It’s been three years!
