A ‘Killer’ Cover Album

Photobucket

Cyndi Lauper and Iggy Pop are two of the many artists The Killers’ Brandon Flowers and Ronnie Vanucci would like to use for their new covers album that is said to be released by the end of the year.

Flower’s, the Killers’ lead vocalist, told NME, “"It's something that we've always talked about doing and we're still talking about. It's difficult for each of us to pick songs that represent us as individuals. I mean, I have a lot of personalities myself! I've gone through everything from Neil Diamond to the Cars”

The idea of using a Lauper or Iggy Pop song came from the band’s drummer, Vanucci, who also added that he was interested in Genesis, Tom Waits and “messing around with a couple of Fleet Foxes songs.”

The band currently has a recording rig on their tour bus and is planning to record most of the album while on tour.
