iClass

Rather than banning cell phones from the classroom, they may very well become a required material.  At least this may become the case for computer engineering students at Vanderbilt, where some tech savvy students have pushed for a smart phone course to debut in the Fall.  In the course, students will learn how to write software for the iPhone. We can only hope that they come up with something as life-changing as the light saber application. Apparently, two Vandy students already developed iPhone applications for Apple stores that earned them an estimated $20,000.  If that’s not extra credit, I don’t know what is…
