YouTube and Universal Music Group Join Hands

Photobucket
You know Hulu? The YouTube-like Web site that lets you catch up with your favorite TV shows by letting you watch the episodes in their entirety? Well, in a world where music videos are becoming somewhat nonexistent, YouTube and Universal Music Group are here to save it by creating VEVO, a music video site featuring UMG's videos, scheduled to launch in the next few months. The idea behind this music endeavor is to join the largest video Web site and the largest music company, supporting it through high-priced advertisements like Hulu, the joint project between NBC and Fox, does with TV shows. So basically, it's like MySpace, but instead of streaming audio, it will be streaming video. I don't hate it!
