Zac Brown Band Does Georgia Theatre Benefit Concert

Photobucket
The Zac Brown Band and The Georgia Theatre go way back in the history of making great music. ZBB went from an opener act to a smash hit on the Theatre’s stage and are now a huge band on the national scale.  Based out of Atlanta, GA, the ZBB went from little known to touring the nation, winning awards, and gracing the Billboard charts with three singles including the number one hit “Chicken Fried.”

No doubt “Chicken Fried” is the perfect sing-a-long and never fails to get the true Southerner giddy in their cowboy boots—even closet country fans can’t deny they know the lyrics to this one. A night at Athens southern gem The General Bar isn’t complete without “Chicken Fried” on the track list.

And ZBB hasn’t forgotten the small town joints that helped them along the way to the big-time. They plan to show their appreciation for the Theatre at a benefit concert this October.
No venue in Athens is big enough for this special occasion, so the boys of ZBB are bringing it to Atlanta’s Fox Theatre to raise money for the rebuild of Athens’ historical Georgia Theatre.

The benefit show is going down on October 30. Get your tickets here to support the Theatre and the Athens music scene.
