From October 28 to November 21, the Whigs will be touring with two bands, The Features ( a psychedelic, new wave band who will make their way to Athens, opening for another Classic City band, Modern Skirts) and The Dead Trees (an americana, folk rock band from Portland, Oregon).

The Whigs should bring their A-game to their upcoming tour, they have had plenty of practice after traveling across the country and building a stronger fan base (not to mention performing on David Letterman).

After playing a surprise show in Athens, showcasing 11 new tracks, in May of this year, it can be assumed that the upcoming tour will be full of new material.  A specific date for The Whigs’ new album has not yet been announced, but it is expected to drop sometime in late 2009 to early 2010.
