The Half Dozen Brass band, manufactured from some of Athens’ best horn players, has graced the stage at many of the Classic City’s top spots, such as Little Kings, the Globe and Tasty World.
Tonight they’re playing at the Melting Point before (and during) Lefty Hathaway delivers blue-centric performance with members of the Bareknuckle Band and Avery Dylan.
Known for their blended assortment of styles-- mixing jazz, funk and country in one setting—the horn band puts on a New Orleans-esq performance. The Half Dozen Brass Band was also named Best Jazz Band at the Flagpole Athens Music Awards this year.
The Half Dozen kick off the night at 9:00 PM and Lefty Hathaway starts at 10:30 PM. Admission is only five bucks!
