Show Pick of the Day: Nanny Island at Flicker
Long week? Didn’t want to see the Yankees win yet another World Series? I feel your pain.
It’s a Thursday night and the weekend is almost here, so why not get it started with some laid back tunes from NannyIsland tonight at Flicker Theatre and Bar?
NannyIsland, comprised of two Athens musicians SJ Ursey and Shauna Greeson, combine soft acoustic rhythms with a tinge of a dreamlike foray in the tropics.
The show starts at 8:30 and only costs $5 to get in. Along with NannyIsland, the folk trio Pearl and the Beard as well as Jeremy Wheatley from Tin Cup Prophette will be performing.
