Rainn Wilson: Musical Advisor

Photobucket

If you know Rainn Wilson, then you know he is an actor who is most notably recognized for his role as Dwight Schrute on NBC’s The Office.

Wilson is also an avid Tweeter who most recently has taken on the reputation for meddling in musical affairs.

Take for example his role in Weezer’s 7th Studio album, Raditude, which is set to release on October 27.

[Rainn Wilson] has a super-rock persona,” Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo told Pitchfork. “When it came time to find a title for the Weezer album, I asked him what he thought the ultimate album title would be, and he said 'Raditude'."

Seems like a very elementary name for a band’s seventh LP, but okay, we will let this one slide.

But now, Wilson has made another suggestion concerning the recent break up of Oasis via his Twitter page. He wrote,“Liam. You should grab Ryan Adams. He does y’alls songs better.”

He followed the message with a link to Adams’ cover of “Wonderwall” (which is a pretty “rad” cover if I do say so myself).

So, maybe Wilson’s suggestions aren’t all bad, and his tweets, if not insightful, are quite entertaining:

When teleported don't ask 'Where are we?' because someone will always reply cryptically- "you mean... WHEN are we??"

Good advice Rainn.
