David Gets a Lesson in "Swagger"

David Guetta, a French DJ famous for helping Kelly Rowland with her hit “When Love Takes Over,” wants to learn how to use hip-hop slang correctly in his speech and music.

According to, Guetta revealed, “I’m not familiar enough to use a lot of American slang. Sometimes I ask [about the words], especially hanging out with all those hip-hop guys. They’re always using terms that I didn’t know.”

Recently, Guetta recorded for the latest Black Eyed Peas album The E.N.D. and became a student as Fergie taught the ways of hip-hop vernacular to him. When Guetta asked Fergie what swagger meant in “Boom Boom Pow” Fergie just laughed. Pshhh, what a bad teacher! On August 25th, Guetta’s latest album will be released featuring Akon’s new single “Sexy Bitch.”
