We're hurting too, Georgia Theatre

It's been 11 days since The Georgia Theatre caught fire. We've all gotten a chance to share our sentimental, tear-jerking memoirs of our times at the Theatre. We've speculated about the cause. We've brainstormed ways to build it back. We've raised almost $1,400 through online donations (in just four days... nice work, keep it up guys). And now that the smoke has cleared and the waiting process has begun, there's really just one sentiment left to describe Athens' collective feeling about the loss of our Theatre, and the Theatre's marquee has summed it up perfectly in one word: Ouch. So while we all wait for the answers to our tough questions, and while the entire Georgia Theatre community fights back in the face of adversity, we can find comfort in that fact that while we all lost something special that day, at least we haven't lost our sense of humor.
