The new group Monsters of Folk – consisting of Bright Eyes’ Conor Oberst and Mike Mogie, My Morning Jacket’s Jim James and She & Him’s M. Ward – told NME that while recording their new album they encountered spirits from the great beyond.
The group recorded in
"You can feel some of the scary, sad ghosts of the brothel. M [Ward] actually saw one,” James explained. “He was freaked out; he didn't want to be in that room for a while. You feel a lot of ghosts there but most of them feel pretty friendly."
Monsters of Folk’s first debut album will drop in September, and listen closely; you may hear the ghosts of brothel dwellers past.
