Darby believes that the lyrics were produced sometime in the year 1966.
“When the lyrics came up for auction over ten years ago, the auctioneers Sotheby's estimated they were written in 1966," he explained. "This seems to be based on the fact that some of the lyrics are written on a note sent to George Harrison by some Japanese fans. The Beatles played in
Lennon’s son Julian has expressed interest in using the lyrics in some of his own music. He ensures Lennon fans that he would only be using them in honor of his late father.
“I guess in some respect it would be like coming home," he said.
