The last album that Yoko Ono and the Plastic Ono Band made was entitled Yes I’m a Witch. This album featured artists from Cat Power, Spiritualized, Le Tigre and Ono wrote all songs. Ono was hoping for some big name artists to help her out in her new album, Don’t Stop Me!; however, she only was able to get help from her son Sean Lennon, Cornelius, Yuka Honda of Cibo Matto, and a group of NYC improv artists. She was hoping for Michelle Branch or Rob Thomas.
The newest album has not been released yet but a song from the album will be available June 9th on Chimera Music.
Ono is performing in London on June 14th during the Meltdown Festival with Ornette Coleman, Antony Hegarty, Cornelius, and Mark Ronson.
