AthFest CD out online tomorrow

So the AthFest compilation CD release party was last Friday, but for those of us who aren’t lucky enough to be living in Athens this summer (or those who are but couldn’t make it out), the digital version comes out on iTunes starting May 19 (tomorrow) and is also available at athensmusic.net. If you want a non-digital copy, look for it around town. The disc was culled from 186 submissions and features 16 tracks of great Athens music. Most of the tracks have never been released and only Patterson Hood has ever been on the CD before. The compilation also features music from Widespread Panic, Corduroy Road and Deaf Judges.

You’ll also want to get your wristband for this year’s AthFest. Full event wristbands are only $15 if you buy them ahead ($20 if you wait). Get them online HERE. The bands will give you access to not only the outdoor stages, but also to all the venue shows. That is a ton of live music for $15.

This year’s AthFest is June 26-28 and the headliners on the outdoor stages are The Black Lips on Friday night, Patterson Hood and the Screwtopians on Satursday and the Randall Bramblett Band on Sunday, but you knew that. Check out the whole lineup HERE and make plans to be there.
